 RE: Marching instrument maintenance

It's funny. When I wanted to use my plastic Artley again for college pep band after it had sat for 3 years in it's case, it looked ugly! The inside was so gross and disgusting! Anyway the plastic clarinet is like any wooden instrument you would use. Swab it out and it's clean. I think I even used a Q-tip to clean the tone holes. No problem. It sounds great. Also, if any of the holes have the spit problem, I clean them with dollar bills. Just clean a plastic clarinet the same way you would clean you're precious expensive wooden clarinet and you'll be fine!
