What are the differences between Albert and Oehler fingering systems? Is it hard to switch between the two?

Not difficult at all - on Oehlers you can play lower register F# with all fingers off (but with the left thumb still on) without having to open the side F/C key to bring it up to pitch, so with that, Oehlers will be much easier than Alberts.
Oehlers are a much more advanced or developed Albert system, though they do use a German style mouthpiece as opposed to a French mouthpiece.

My Oehler (Prueffer) has three [or four?] more keys than my Albert(German) for easier alternate fingerings. Otherwise they're basically exactly the same fingerings.

Check the woodwind.org fingering charts. They have a combined page for Alberts and Oehlers, with several of the fingerings indicated for Oehler only.
