How difficult are these to find? Do they command a price premium over regular E11s?

If I heard correctly years ago, such instruments were/are used by repair tech schools.

They were really B12s (in the UK they were stamped B12 anyway), not sure why they stamped some as E11s unless they used the wrong stamp on some of them at the Schreiber factory (though the E11 is in essence a wooden B12).

They were supplied in the same plastic case the B12 and E11 came in - the case with the rubber handle (with fake stitching) that split at the ends where the rings went through it - this one pictured here is in an E13/C12/R13 case:

They were around the same price as the B12 back in the late '80s/early '90s which was around £279.00-299.00.

But sometimes they crop up on eBay.

François Kloc told me that Buffet made only one batch of clear E11s. They're hard to find and command a substantial premium on eBay -- over $1,000 the last time I looked.

Mmm... it looks good, but not £1,000 good.

"Mmm... it looks good, but not £1,000 good."

Especially as it's a B12 and you could probably get three of them for £1000.
