Those with long memories will recall that I was asking about inexpensive thumbrests recently. I have lost my way, and now nothing will do except one of the Kooiman Maestro rests. I tried to order on through the Brasswind/Woodwind recently, but they're out of stock. I understand that Selmer is the U.S. distributor, but I couldn't find an email address in Selmer's website. Does anyone know a dealer who currently has these in stock?

I just bought the NEW "Etude" Kooiman from IMS. If they carry that (new) model + the original Pro model, I'd bet they have the one you are looking for. I was told Selmer, too. BUT, Selmer sells nothing direct; only through it's dealers. Thius, Selmer is the Importer? J.L. Smith & Co has also stocked Kooiman's in the past, and WW&BW as you mentioned. Weiner is a likely suspect, too. Good luck. mw

Mark, I have been considering buying one of these for a while now. Could you let me know how this one works out for you? Thanks. -- Nate Zeien

Nate, which one --- I have them all? (I bought the Kooiman Pro model right before thew price inscrease --- and, OUCH, its now pretty expensive) I'm a gadget guy, probably not a good model for something like this. AND, this is probably so personal that no person could/should rely on another's preference.
