Even though you say "Basically my lips are really swollen ...its not a reaction to the reed or anything like that, they're just slighlty swollen" you seem unclear just how swollen your lips truly are. I agree with the recommendations above, but suggest that you see a doctor soon if what you try doesn't restore your comfort and appearance. You may have an allergy to something like food, toothpaste, coffee, tea, or after shave lotion. And allergy is like water, in the sense that where it appears does not tell one where or how it originated or otherwise may appear. A rash on the skin, for example, may also erupt internally and cause breathing difficulty.
