I use the K&M bass cl/bassoon stand. What I did was to take the plastic end of a tube mailer that you can get at Kinkos and put it into the end of the stand. It should fit snug and will not move. This really works with using a peg on bass cl. Now for carrying the stand I use a soft trumpet gig bag. This will also hold my clarinet pegs and other important junk. I use a ProTek single trumpet bag.
