Currently I play the Vandoren Eb reeds (size 4), and I wanted to try the White Master reeds for the Eb clarinet. What strength would I buy that is similar?

Since the White Master and Black Master reed is designed for a Viennese and German mouthpiece, the reed is appreciably thicker, particularly as you get away from the tip. This is to be expected, since the Viennese and German mouthpiece are more closed and have a longer lay than their French counterpart.
When I measure a White Master, a Black Master and a regular blue-box Vandoren Eb reed, the White Master is the thickest, the Black master the second thickest and the blue-box regular the least thick.
Thus you might want to try the Black Master as well.
They are a touch wider than the White Master but they do not overhang the outer side of the rails of the B40 and B44 Eb mouthpieces.
Also the Black Master is a bit softer than the White Master in corresponding number strengths.
I agree with Dave. A 3 in either White Master or Black Master is a good strength with a B44 or B40 (with the Black Master being a bit softer).
