Hey, I'm currently playing in a trio of Clarinetist (me) violin player and pianist. We performed adapted Keggelstadt trio (I'm not sure that's how you write it so forgive me for mistakes) last year, and it came out very good. We also performed Bartok's Romanian Folk Dances. This year we are working on Prokoffief's Waltz from Cinderella, and we performed Beethoven's op.1 trio 3 with me playing the cello part. Also came out very good in the end. We are now looking for more trios (either for clarinet or violin) to adapt or original scores intended for violin clarinet and piano. We thought about adapting Krommer's op. 35 or 91 concerto for two clarinets, or Stamitz's Concerto no. 4 for violin and clarinet. We also thought about Khachatourian and Bartok's original trios. I would like to hear out your opinions on the matter and if you have any advice/suggestions as for what we can play that would be fantastic! Thanks for your replies, they are greatly appreciated!

Bartok's "Contrasts" is for that combination if memory serves me (not sure if that was the Bartok trio you were referencing).
There's a Milhaud trio for cl, vln and piano also - the title escapes me though.
Also, Peter Schickele has a "Serenade for Three" for cl, vln and piano that I heard in a doctoral recital this afternoon. It was quite nice.
I haven't delved too much into chamber literature yet, so I'm not much help.

Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr and her husband, Walter Verdehr, formed the Verdehr trio (including a pianist). They have transcribed and commissioned well over 150 works, which they have recorded on nearly 20 CDs for Crystal. Their site is at http://www.verdehr.com/ and Crystal is at http://www.crystalrecords.com/.
Among their arrangements are the Bruch 12 pieces for clarinet, viola and piano, which work very well with violin. However, I think they're better with viola, and if your violinst plays viola, that would be the best way to do them.
Elsa is a monster player, and the Verdehr commissions often have clarinet parts that are beyond mere mortals.

an extremely difficult but rewarding work is John Harbison, Variations for clarinet (A) violin and piano. You will all need to be virtuosic performers to play this one. I highly recommend this work

The Verdehr literature is just incredible! My favorites of their trios are the Arutiunian Trio, and the Hovhaness Lake Samish Trio. I also second the Schickele Serenade for Three, which is another Verdehr commission.

There's a list of cl/vln/pno.
Otherwise, here's a link for the site with all the clarinet music options listed.

Also, this was my professor's and his wife's site. They're great and could help you with difficulty levels if you called.
