 Humidifier question

I just purchased a Planet Waves small intrument humidifer for my 3 month old Yamaha CSG. On Saturday, I filled it with water and put in in the case Saturday night. Sunday evening, I opened the case and to my surprise, the entire clarinet body was covered in visible condensation. I quickly wiped if off. I hope that there was no ill effect on the bore or the keys, springs, etc. Any thoughts on why this happened? Is there a better humidifier that I should use?
