I found an article written by Guy Dangain about Debussy's Premier Rhapsody in Selmer's URL. In French. This may be interesting.(I need too much time. )
http://www.selmer.fr/images/pdf/debussy.pdf
p.s.
I did not know there is a version for clarinet and orchestra.
The cl/piano version had been composed in the period 1902/Decc-1903/Jan and was published through Durand in 1910, and the cl/orchestra version was published in 1911. There are big or misterious differences in Debussy's manuscripts for these two compositions according to Mr.Dangain.

What a coincidence, i was just listening to this wonderful piece performed by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, George Pieterson on clarinet and Bernard Haitink conducting (Recently appointed principal conductor for the Chicago Symphony?) On the contrary, i never knew that the original was for cl/piano.
