Hi, all.
Now that I finished 'Mozart Forgeries' (BTW, thank you for the information about the author in my previous post), I'm wondering whether there are other clarinet -related literary works: novels, short stories or poems.
(I also liked the rhymes some of our talented bboarders contributed in previous post )

I believe a Sherlock Holmes novel was originally titled "The Clarinet of the Baskervilles." Instead of people being killed by a hound, they were all clarinet players who got super-open mouthpieces from a maker who shall remain nameless, and when they tried to play them, the mouthpieces devoured their heads.

1. The Tell-Tale Reed Heart
2. The Turn of the Ligature Screw
3. Lord of the Bell Ring
4. The Old Man and the Middle C
5. The Great Jazzby
6. The Reed Badge of Courage
7. For Whom the Bell Cracks
8. Huckleberry Fine
9. The Picture of Dorian Mode
And others as well.

Vunderbahr, HRL, what a good group ! I've spent at least 30 sec. of thought as to the distinction between "literary" [?f[r]ictional?] and ?real? info on cls etc. Where does history, as beautilfully presented by Al Rice in his Baroque and Classic Cl books, fit it ?? Don

I understand there are not may clarinet related books around, and it was okay to enjoy some of bboarders' creative jokes. I always admire how they come up with such puns (of course, it's your language..).
I do appreciate your help.
