Hey I'm playing the Rose Etude No 11 in the Artistic Studies book for all state. Can't find anywhere to breathe.. Any suggestions, such as measure numbers and counts? It's hard to do even when you are going fast

In my book it has breath marks... breath during the rests, of course... middle of measure 8... middle of measure ten...middle of measure 12...just after the downbeat of 28...just after the downbeat of 32 and right before the last note of 32...and that's all that's marked in my book... I'm just stating what's in my book, so don't get mad at me if it doesn't work out...

Mary...
You are looking at the wrong Rose study.
The original question pertains to Rose #11 (from the 40 Studies).
You were looking at #11 from the Rose 32 Etudes.
This etude was originally for violin (40 Etudes and Caprices for Violin), so breathing obviously was not a concern to the performer.
I would try to follow the breath marks as suggested by David Hite, in the edition you are using - (measure 12, measure 19, measure 25, etc..). The tempo of dotted quarter = 60 is reasonable.
If you play the etude slower than the suggested tempo, mark the breaths carefully, so you do it the same way each time. You may have to leave out an occasional sixteenth note in order to breathe. Listen carefully to the arpeggios and choose a note which happens after a resolution.
Remember, these are etudes, or study pieces, to be used to develop skills...GBK
