You sure you want to post something like this on a public CLARINET board? It may get back to him. Not that your opinion isn't valid but you may be studying with this person for 2 years...this may start you on the wrong foot.
As far as double tounging and circular breathing, I know that Robert Spring has and incredibly successful studio that incorporates that kind of teaching. With the fast tempos that are taken today, double tonguing maybe a neccesity in the future
