I was wondering if you could help me find some information about my clarinet. My mother passed it down to me, but she has little knowledge on it. Internet research is yielding little to no results.
All of the parts are marked with the words 'Jeffrey.' However, the mouthpiece is a Noblet. I'd appreciate anything you can tell me! :/

i was the original poster of the link that was provided earlier in this thread. my jeffrey clarinet has been retired due to its intonation problems, but i am keeping it for sentimental reasons.
what i wonder is: are you (or someone else) planning to play it? in a group? maybe you're planning to sell it on ebay?
if it is being played in a group i would definitely suggest getting a replacement instrument when you can find a good deal on a better horn. the uneven intonation was a definite problem, and now that i am playing a much better instrument (buffet r-13) i can also say that its response in the upper register was really a disadvantage.
if you are just going to be playing it for your own amusement without the need for blending with other instruments, its playable - keep it. mine had high quality wood, responsive keywork and nice tone.
if you're going to sell it on ebay, i would not expect to get any sort of premium price for it. it would make an ok student instrument.

Pkp- Thank you for your response!
I used the instrument roughly eight years ago, with my middle school band. The instrument was very, very good to me and I had many positive results with it, one even being from my private teacher. I was a little disappointed when reading most of the responses to your post because I am very protective of it. However I do understand what you're saying. If it's in good shape, by all means, I'll keep playing it and I'll probably do so even if it's not in the best of shape.
I'm not sure what I plan to do with it exactly -- it'll probably be for my own entertainment -- but I know I'm never selling it.
