Yes, it's a sprung suspension system that keeps any part of the instrument from actually making contact with the walls of the case. The joints are held in place by tapered mandrels that fit into the ends of the joints. Pretty snazzy! (Photo of empty case attached)
The cases are also covered in hand-stitched blue leather. Quite gorgeous, really!
