For cor and band, if you can find a suitable piece (one that you like) for alto sax and concert band, then transpose the solo alto part for cor solo. The 1st alto will then end up playing the 2nd alto part and the 2nd alto can play a tenor horn part.

I did this with a concert band arrangement of 'Concierto de Aranjuez' that was adapted from the brass band arrangement (in Cm instead of the original Bm) used in the film 'Brassed Off' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ec_idYXL1Vw back in July for the Royal Naval Volunteer Band Festival and came away winning the best concert soloist trophy.
