I have to chip in with a comment on cjwright's experience. I believe the current model is different than the one cjwright tried a couple of years back. It's is modelled so it also fits small sockets, like fx. Lorée.

Over the past two years I havn't heard from any customer that they needed to sand down the tubes, so it suggests the problem do not exist any more.
I have returning customers from the professional world, so something tells me they do offer something positive.
