Now Ke Xun's best reeds are sold at that price as well. No, no one can afford them except the professionals. It is appaling. But still, people buy simply because there is not enough time for most professionals to consistently chunk out concert reeds week after week. I know my teacher did that and he always had reliable reeds, then came the conducting projects and the chamber music performances, there was simply no time, so pop, he started buying from Ke Xun. His dream, apparently, now, is to go back to making his own....

p.s. In the Hong Kong International Airport on transit to Toronto. Just flew 4 hours from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Urghh....catching the next plane soon. Can't wait to reach Domaine Forget for the oboe camp!
