Hello

I was wondering what causes a side of a reed to go flat. By this I mean the both sides of the reed aren't curved to look like an (American) football, but rather one side is curved and the other is almost completely flat. Could this be due to biting or the way the reed was designed (I've only used one type of reed that works really well for me)??? The reed still seems to play reasonably well (it is old, by the way...maybe that is an influence???).

Thanks!!!
Clayton
