Clarinet concerto, op. 80
Written  1902
Duration
Comments  Dedicated to Richard Muhlfeld, but premiered by Charles Draper in 1904. The concerto was written in 1902 but was not published until 1977. An important concerto since no other late romantic work is in the repertoire. First two movements are for Bb Clarinet while the last movement is for the A Clarinet. While the work is highly influenced by Brahms, the Concerto is more original.

Sonata, Op. 129
Written  1918
Duration
Comments  Dedicated to Oscar W. Street and Charles Draper. Three Movements. The composition shows Brahms' influence in the First and Third movements, and the Second movement is a Fantasia centering around an Irish Lament. The Sonata contains weak moments but is good training material for college level students.

Three Intermezzi, Op. 13
Written  1880
Duration
Comments  Written for Francis Galpin. First movement in three sections. Second movement in the style of a tarantella. Third movement has a Hungarian dance flavor. This is one of the best pieces in clarinet repertoire and has a great audience appeal. The composition is excellent recital material.
