Selmer Paris bass clarinet - Vincent Abado once owned, 5 piece wooden
Great sounding and great playing Bb range to low Eb bass clarinet
- No cracks
- Unusual double register key mechanism, one is for notes up to D, the other is for Eb and higher in the clarion to altissimo, it takes some getting used to but not impossible
- has that nice classic sound heard on recordings of opera and orchestras from the pre-1970s
- owned by Vincent "Jimmy" Abado who played in the NY City Opera
- NB: no mouthpiece included, best paired with your choice, my Selmer Concept works nicely on this, selling for a friend, saving up for a Buffet or Selmer low C model
