Hello,
I am playing the e flat clarinet and i am having trouble with squeaking and not being able to get the high notes out. I would really appreciate it if anyone had any suggestions.

Its hard, I know. Just practice and make sure you have a nice firm embechure and keep trying....they will soon come!

I also have an Eb and my daughter would like to start
playing it but I have been told by many that for
fingering charts I will have to transpose.
Does anyone already have one?

..here's what I've done: Take a #1 reed and put it on the mouthpiece. Play with a VERY LOOSE embouchure and back the mouthpiece out of your mouth till the squeeking stops. As you play your embouchure will change as muscles in the face and lips strengthen. Simply try #1-1/2,2,2-1/2 size reeds and work on your embouchure until a happy medium is reached and there is good tone production. If you take up the Alto clarinet you will find that a loose embouchure,as a necessity, produces the best tone for this horn, coupled with thinner reeds.
