for a tenor saxophone or any sax (i don't really care) do you have to "make up" or "create" your own fingerings for the altissimo range cause i've tried the ones posted and they all suck cause they don't work or i haven't found one that works yet. any way if you could help that would be great

You havn't mastered the altissimo range, and those fingering do work. You have to have the right embochure, right speed of air (not amount of air, just speed of it), and a nice size reed (not physical, but #3, etc.) You might want to first start off by doing lip slurs from low d (below staff), middle d (in staff), and high d (above staff), and then when u master that, do that w/ d#, e, f, then f#. (The f# is a toughy for some people). After you've mastered those, try running from a high d to a f# (all slurring), and when you can also do that, try a G (btw, it's the absolute hardest note to get out of the saxophone), but good luck
