Hey
I found a sound clip of a bassoon solo on the web and it says it's from Igor Stravinsky's "Petrouchka", but I have a CD with "Petrouchka" on it and there is nothing remotely like the sound clip. The website is www.dsokids.com/2001/dso.asp?/PageID=154.
If anyone can identify that piece, please respond.

That would be the Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Dukas. They've probably just changed the clip and forgot to update the text identifying the title of the piece.
Sucks that they don't have an oboe clip with the orchestra, but they do have a little solo clip. Just go here, and then click on the "instruments" link at the bottom of the page.
Extra special Torus points to the oboist out there who can correctly identify that excerpt, since it's probably one of the most well-known and important oboe solos in the orchestral repertoire!
