whats up everyone? i found that the clarinet section is way too big, and i want to get out b/c i feel uncomforatble. im ok at the clarinet but now iwant to switch to bass clarinet. i heard the fingerings are basically the same (correct me if im wrong). can somebody tell me if this is wise switching? What about the embouchure and stuff like that? thanks!

Yes the fingerings are basically the same. The very high notes are slightly different, but all the details are here on the charts at WFG.
In orchestra, the clarinet player is expected to play bass clarinet as well. In band, if you are a bass clarinet you stick with it. The parts given to bass clarinet tend to be a lot simpler, easier to play and more boring.

The Bass clarinets in symphonic band get the "oom-pa" parts, basically they usually double the low brass. And yes, the parts are very boring. But if you wanna go for then do it. The bass is a nice instrument.
