There is an alternative to the t1-3|-5-- fingering to D3. It is t123|-56-. It is slightly flatter but harder to reach.

That is very interesting, Brian. You should e-mail this fingering to Tim and I'm sure he'll add it to the charts.
Have you ever had any need to play that high? I find that since I have no bell key on my recorder, I am effectively missing certaing notes in the third octave and it's not worth trying to play up there.
