There's someone with a name a bit like mine!
You should practise playing long notes, to improve your tone. What instrument are you talking about?

You might also want to practice some sightreading. Just find some pieces and read through them (learn to detect alternate fingerings etc before playing it). Auditions usually consist of various scales, a prepared piece, and something to be read on the spot.

In that case, as Gnomon said, your sound is going to be the most important factor. If your auditioning for a first chair your director is looking for good sound in all registers of the instrument as well as good intonation. Make sure you don't get flatter as you get higher/louder. Good luck.
