 Finger holes for flute...HELPPP!
Author: John

I recently built a flute out of pvc pipe. It's 15" long and the sound hole is an inch from the mouthpiece. My problem is this: How do I figure out where to place the finger holes and size them correctly. Is there some kind mathematical equation I could use to figure out where to place them or is there a general distance from each hole and from the sound hole the is used for every flute?
Please help me out here. I dont get on this forum very often so If you could please email me at DBZGOD25@AOL.COM
I would really appreciate it. Thank you all very much.

You might be able to get help from this website. There's an e-mail address there you could try. This guy made a PVC contra bass flute and can probably help you. The website is:
