 isn't it a good idea to learn how to fix your instrument if it breaks, bends, etc?

 Only if you are a professional in instrument repair becuase most instruments expecialy pro instruments are very very toutchy and all the professionals that I know send in there instruments.

 It is a good idea to learn how to fix minor little things, like a bent spring, or a pad that comes off, etc...but for bigger things, like cracks/dents or bent rods, you should leave it to someone who really knows what they're doing.
