I dropped my clarinet in summer marching band. the top half of it anyway. now the G# key the one u use with your index finger on your left hand isn't working. it's supposed to go back by it's self after you push it but now it just stays wherever you push it. none of my notes except my G work. Help me please! I do not want to take it to the "shop" cause it will cost too much.

Most likely you bent some keys. You ARE going to have to take it to the shop. I wouldn't try to fix it unless you know exactly what ou are doing.

This is probably a relatively inexpensive repair from the sounds of it. It is likely a bent key or spring.

take it to the shop, it shouldnt be too expensive. And if you try to fix it your self you might make the problem worse and then you will deffinetly have to take it in, and i will probably be alot more expensive, so save your self time and money and take it in!

hey, if it helps, one time I dropped my flute and I thought it was broken so I didn't play it for a while but then I did and it wasn't broken.

You should tell your parents and ask them to take it to the shop dont try to fix it because you can make things worse.Take it from a person who knows I did that once and tried to fix it but I made it worse.
