 High G on my sax

I just got this new soprano sax (straight) and I cant seem to get the high G on it to play? Any help, any suggestions? ARe the keys the same?

It could be that your biting your m/p to hard and the note can't come out. one of your pads may be sticking and need to be cleaned. one thing i've noticed is that you need a much smaller embourchure then an alto. If your coming from an alto you'll need a tighter embourchure, i played on an alto and from my soprano it needed a looser embourchure. your air speed may not be fast enough for the note. hope this helps.

this note causes everyone trouble the first few times. And especially now that you have a different saxophone. When I did play saxophone, I was taught to have a very firm focused breath support and to think of filling the entire instrument with air; pretend you're playing a low Bb: that kind of air.
