i've seen an oboe that on the right hand pinkie keys has a g sharp, b, b flat, e flat, f and another key as well. I've never seen an oboe with this extra key, could anyone tell me what it is four?

I'm assuming you mean the left hand pinkie keys, rather than the right. I've seen that a couple times and had found it to be a Low C key (and it was really akward to play) and on another older model,it was the G#-A Trill key. On most instruments, the latter is found over the right hand G# trill key.

on british makes it is usually a 'long' f key, another way for f to be played, not sure when you'd use it though
