i know that this is a brass question, but my sister is going to start band next year and she wants to play the trumpet...any suggestions on what to look for in a student trumpet, and we do want to get a Yamaha one.

Buy a Vincent Bach 3C mouthpiece. This will make life a lot easier.

heh, my fav thing on a trumpet is making spit balls (they actually are used for cleaning the horn, but they go straight through and u can actually hit targets with them.....such as my band director....)

I just started playing the trumpet during this school year and my class was assigned a project. we have to write down main info on out instruments. as i said, i play the trumpet. i have been on the internet all nigh searching for information about the trumpet but i cant seem to find anything. do you know of any sights i could go to to find some good information about trumpets? please help this project is due very shortly!
