Okay, how can you tell if your flute is a C foot or a B foot?

On the foot joint, if there are 2 pads it is a "C" foot and if it has 3 pads it is a "B" foot flute.

Let me clarify what Corey said just to make sure your not confused becuase it kinda confused me. But if you understand him/her cool then don't listen to me becuase i don't want to confuse anyone either. Corey said for a C foot there are 2 pads on the foot well acctualy there are 3 pads. But if you count from the bottom and get 2 before you reach the key levors wher your fingures go then its a C foot if there are 3 pads counting from the bottom until you reach the key levors then its a B foot. I hope i dident make it confusing for anyone and hope it helps.

Take a look at the foot, does it have an extra little bar to push? A b-foot is also, obviously, longer than a C-foot.

also on a tuner play the lowest note you can (having all the pads on the flute down) and see what note it says it is. And if you dont know what you have then you probably have a C foot, which is more common on flutes! Hope this helped!

On my opinion, a B foot is different from a C foot coz' it can play the lower B, which the C foot can't.
