if i play the clarinet already, will playing the saxaphone be easy or hard for me, im thinking about renting one but if its gonna be hard maybe i should think about getting lessons?

i play clarinet and then took up the sax. it isn't too hard, you already have the basic embourchure(is that spelling right?) down. the Clarion register is the same as the sax(starting at D) so fingerings aren't too hard. but it would be great to get lessons, because you need to make sure your sound is right and so on... and one great thing is when you learn sax, you can get into a lot more jazz bands then you do with clarinet.

If you can play the clarinet, you'll find playing the sax is very easy. The very lowest notes and the very highest notes are a bit tricky but you should be able to pick up a sax and play two octaves with no practise whatsoever.

However, you still should get lessons. The SAXOPHONE EMBOUCHURE is only similar to that of the clarinet it is not identical.
