 aren't you a flautist forever? hehe...
 For books...if you can find it, get the Barret method for oboe.(this is if you're serious about continuing on and playing it.) It is about 50$ so be prepared to spend. If you're looking along the lines of something to start you off, try "Total Musicianship" or "Rubank" methods.

 hehe yea, but hey i love all ww instruments... lol
 ha! 50 good earned dollars on a book... i never spent that much on a book b4 but hey i think there is a first time for everything well about . i might invest in it later but just for now i will stick with "Rubank" hehe

 You might also look into The Art of Oboe Playing by Sprenkle and Ledet.  It's not a music book, per se, but it's well worth getting if you play oboe.
