i tutor 10 young students on flute and piccolo
6 of them are just starting with rythem etc and is there any rythem books that might them , c i went to the music store and bought " a rythem a day" it works great for the med and upper but doesn't help much with the starters ... is their any other books that would help or should i just make my own rythems

If you search hard enough you will probably find something but in my opinion it might be best to just make you own. Expecialy if they are beginners. You know them best and what they can do. No book publisher will be able to adapt to them as you can.

Keep if simple. Don't get too complicated too fast. Have them clap the rhythms and then sing the rhythms before trying to play them.

that is what i do
i take it step by step, i have a journal of what each child progress is. the childs director simple doesn't get that main reason that half of his students don't play like they wish , bcuz of the rythem problem that they have. the rythem books that he teaches from are advance for their level. i give out test/ rythem worksheets just for them , for pratice and to c how well they do by them self so i know what they need to work on and so on.privite tutoring is just this certain person. it is hard to teach someone the ground level while their classmates are at an advance level , i want my students to be educated in the best way possiable and that is what i am trying to do
okya now u guys think i am crazy !!!!lol but that is all right cuz i think i am too lol
thanks a lot
