If you play alto music, no it won't, if your transpose your music up a fifth,(and play it on sop.) yes it will.

It will sound right, but it will be in the wrong key. So you won't be able to play it along with a piano or other instruments.

Is that not what I JUST said? The person asked if it will sound RIGHT? Meaning will it BE right? no, because it's in the wrong key! THINK BEFORE YOU TALK!

Hi Oboeguy! I did think before I replied. I read your reply and it was open to misinterpretation, so I clarified it. Yes, the music will sound right. It will be in a different key, but unless you are cursed with perfect pitch, it will sound right.

Well, I believe what she meant was: "when I play it with another alto sax, will it be right?" No, because they are a fifth apart. Any instrument on earth that played that sequence of notes would technically be playing it correctly but it wouldn't be in the correct key, so it wouldn't be right. Notes have names for a reason, you know. We're not functioning on the moveable-do system over here. A concert Eb scale (C for altos) , wouldn't be a concert Eb if the Soprano also played a C major. Hope you see what I'm saying.
