does any oboe players out there face problems playing running notes? i tend to have glitches all over my fast scales.....

What exactly do you mean by glitches? If you talking about little blips between the notes, that usually a hand position and coordination problem. And yes, every oboist struggles with this because the fingerings for some of the scales do indeed require you to perform acts of manual acrobatics in order to execute them smoothly.
I would make sure that your hand position is the absolute best it can be <i>every time</i> you play. Each you your fingers should be delicately curved around the instrument, and you should touch the keys with the tips of you fingers (except of course the side Ab key). None of them should be straight or otherwise tense and contorted out of position.
Really the only thing you can do is like I said practice keeping good hand position <i>every time</i> you play, and practice it over and over again.
