I believe that the Eb Alto Clarinet is basically the same as the Bb Soprano Clarinet. You may find that the Alto can play a few lower notes than the Soprano. Special extra keys are used for these. You may also find that some of the very high notes don't sound quite in tune with the standard fingering, so play around with different alternatives until you find one that sounds right.
All fingerings are available on this site.

An alto clarinet is set in the key of E-flat and its much larger of course. Now can someone tell me, which is harder: alto or E-flat clarinet??

I play the flute and the bassoon. Should I try alto clarinet? Low woodwinds have fascinated me.
