In "Prelude to Lohengrin" there is a section of triple tounging: tripleted eigth notes, when quarter note pulse is 165. As an oboist...I find this EXTREMELY hard. the brass players just laugh it off and are fine...how should I practice these?

Heh, that's because that IS extremely hard. I wish I had some insightful suggestions for you that I could palaver on and on about in my customary fashion, but never having mastered triple tonguing myself, I'm afraid I don't. I guess the only thing I can think of to say is to remember that articulation should be felt from the stomach up. And good luck.
Only thing I know is: Wagner, what a jerk.
