The sharp scales are G, D, A, E, B, F# and C#, and the flat scales are F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Cb. The number of accidentals (sharps and flats) starts with one e.g., for G and F, and increases by one until there are 7, e.g., for C# and Cb. Then there is C major which has no sharps of flats.
In general, the major scale consists of the first note (tonic), and ascends to the octave note following the patter of whole and half-steps (1 w 2 w 3 1/2 4 w 5 w 6 w 7 1/2 8). The sharp scales are five notes apart, e.g., G a b c D, then D e f g A. The flat scales are four notes apart.

The above information is described as the Circle of Fifths. A representation can be found on http://www.manchester-city-coll.ac.uk/exhib/perfa/ndpmproj/p2.htm Another web page is http://www.crl.com/~gdgreen/tot5-1.html Clockwise provides the keys with sharps and steps in fifths, counterclockwise gives the keys with flats and steps in fourths.
