For one of my eaxams I have to play a piece by Telemann. In one section I don't know what to do.
In 6 8: dotted quaver E, you have to trill on the E, then there's an F semiquaver, followed by a dotted crotchet.
If you understood that well-done. Anyway, any suggestions on to which note I start on E/F, and ideas on how to finish the trill.
Thanks v. much!!

Well, that's really hard to answer without knowing more about what's surrounding that section. What you have written down doesn't add up to a full measure of 6/8, so is this in the middle of a phrase? If it's at the end of a phrase, then I would definitely lean toward beginning the trill on the F, since this is a Baroque piece we're talking about. However trill in the middle are more open for interpretation, again given what's surrounding them. I would end it at any rate by just moving from the F to the next note, which is what by the way? It would seem to me that the semiquaver F is there to lead into the next note without the need for extra ornamentation.
Just ask yourself... What would Georg do? And you'd be right, since he was quite the oboist himself you know.
