i play the flute but i didnt really learn all of the dynamics and stuff so i dont know what a lot of the stuff is. one thing im having trouble on is something that looks like this (im so sorry, i dont know the name):

|_ (the actual pic is a lot curvier and smaller, and the lines touch)
and i also dont know what this is:
) [turn it sideways]
this one kinda looks like a diagonal arc above the note and i have no idea what im suopposed to do.
PlEASE somebody help me!!!!!!!

That as far as the discription you gave me is called a fall. You play all of the notes between the first not and the second really fast making sure you hit the second note on the beat you are suposed to. Be sure to stay in the same key.

Hello Jenni
your first description appears to be a "gliss", you could play a gliss by running all the notes between the two written notes that is connected by that wavy line....
the second description appears to be a "slur". you could play any two or more notes capped with this slur by NOT tonguing the second or subsequent note(s).
