I was wondering if anyone knew any easier ways of hitting the altissimo notes for clarinet, all I do is sit with practicly perfect posture and my clarinet at about 55 degrees. And I was also wondering if anyone has tried the Vandoren v.12 reeds?

All you need to hit the altissimo notes is good embouchure and not too soft a reed.

Relax your soft palet. Just behind your front teeth is a bone. that is called the hard palet. If you run your tongue back the roof of your mouth, you will find the soft palet. It moves around when you yawn. try yawning when you play and that will help.
Also, corss your legs with your ankle at your knee. Stop up the bell with your leg. then finger Long C (with the register key) and add the c#/G# key. try to make the pitch change without moving your jaw or your fingers. this will help you learn how to move the soft palet with the clarinet.
then, practice starting on low A, add the register key for E then half hole with the left index finger. this will work you into getting up to the high notes. do this chromatically up until you hit D#. these are called register slurs.
hope this helps
