E-flat above the staff on the Oboe

While practicing, I've tried playing high E-flat by playing a high D and adding the left hand A-flat key. Fingering it this way, it seems much easier to go back and forth between high D, high D-flat and high E-flat. Is this a valid fingering?

Yes, you're using what is considered the trill fingering for the high Eb. This will work, however it would be a good idea to get used to using the standard Eb fingering, even though it is more difficult. The reason for this is because the standard Eb fingering tends to be both more resonant and more stable than the trill Eb. Also the standard Eb fingering allows easier trasition to notes higher than Eb, not necessarily in terms of fingering mind you, but in terms of getting the notes to speak crisply and clearly.
