How do you play anything higher then a F#3 on the tenor sax!! I can seem to get it at all!! I dont even know any fingerings for the altissimo range.. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Can you play noted higher than F#3 with the High F key?? Please help me with some altissimo fingerings for tenor sax.

Thanks

The only altissimo note I know how to hit is the hardest which is a high G. The fingering is the spatula key or the key right above B, plus R-1. My technique for hitting this inconceivable, difficult not is to trick the saxaphone into getting up to high G by going from the alternate fingering for F# which is the spatula key, the A key, the F key and the R-1 all together. Be warned though that this note takes some of the best sax players years to achieve perfection so keep on practicing!
