I've been experimenting with different fingerings on my clarinet, and I've noticed something interesting, especially in the Chalumeau, Clarion, and Altissimo registers. For notes like
I find that using the standard fingering, which often involves the 4th hole, produces a tone that I personally prefer over using a specific key (like a side key or alternate fingering). The sound seems more open and resonant to my ear.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you sometimes opt for the "standard" fingering on these notes even if there's a key that could also produce them? I'm curious to hear your thoughts and preferences!
