 Is using the key under the 5th hole worth it? (Bb Clarinet)

I have tried using this key but it just doesn't sound as good as just using the 4th hole for notes such as Bb or A# in Chalumeau register, F in Clarion and Db or C# in the Altissimo register. IS it better do just use the fingering without the key?
