I am sure most clarinettists who also play sax will tell you it is not dificult to transfer.

I, too, play clarinet in a windband and recently started to play sax in a jazz group.

The fingering for the upper register clarinet is very similar to both registers of the sax.

Why not try one in a music shop or try one of your friends in the jazz group
